“After having heard rave reviews from multiple people, I ordered a Curly Whirly Cake for Christmas. Sorry this is really not my cup of tea, the cake is incredibly dense and just not pleasant to eat. It's more of a huge very dense brownie, nothing to do with a nice fluffy moist cake, which is what I was hoping for. No one else around the table enjoyed it, sadly. Maybe other cakes are better but for this price I doubt we will try again.”

“Disappointingly your courier just left the cake on my front doorstep on one of the hottest days we have had - he didn’t wait to see if anyone was home. Not what I expect from K&C where I paid extra for delivery”

We take all feedback and complaints seriously and I can assure you that this will be taken up with our courier. Every delivery should be handled with consideration and care and I can see on this occasion it has not, so I completely understand the frustration. The driver should follow all delivery instructions but if there are none, they should contact the customer directly to get further information on what to do with the delivery. I am very sorry that your delivery was left on the doorstep and left out in the heat without the courier making you aware of this, it is completely unacceptable. We always try to bring joy through our products and unfortunately, we were unable to do that this time round. “Ordered the curly whirly cake. Firstly, I would suggest that they seal the box as they use a third-party courier service. I found the icing on my cake to be slightly smudged and I would’ve felt reassured had the box been sealed. I did reach out to Konditor by Instagram but didn’t receive a response and I’ve previously called them Before I placed the order about an Before I placed the order about a separate matter and they don’t answer their phones either. The cake itself was delicious, but the texture of both the cake and the frosting was quite grainy as if the sugar crystals hadn’t fully dissolved so you could feel it in your bite.”

“Oh dear. I order your lovely cakes for lots of good reasons: however you need to change your delivery service APC. An order for Thursday 28th March was delayed because of the Easter hols and rearranged for Saturday 30th March. It did not arrive and I have received a message saying it will be delivered today 2nd April. How fresh the product will be I don’t know as it was a gift. I did choose the day before Easter officially commenced. This is the second time APC delivery has been the cause of unhappiness. Sorry had to choose over 7 days for delivery as 6 days was not an option.”

“Konditor makes really good quality and great-tasting cakes. Unfortunately it is hot or miss with freshness, and we've been disappointed more than once in the past. This time it was particularly obvious, the cake was dense and dry and definitely not freshly made - a real shame as we may now stop purchasing from them (even though their chocolate noisette is one of our all time favourites)”
